I love this place. I've been coming here since I can even remember. I used to come with my family and I often came for dinner with my late grandparents. The dining room is nostalgic. It's always good and it's always nearby. The soups are good and the sandwiches always make a tasty lunch (and dinner, too) because the portions are like that. Stuffed cabbage, liver and onions, goodies and sweets...whatever you're craving, it's here. Hopefully for many years to come.
Fromin's is my go to place for quality delivery. The soup is amazing and holds well in the refrigerator. The delivery people are employees and they are fast, courteous and always have a nice word. If you live in Santa Monica, this place needs our support and the food is good! Meats, Cheeses, Whole Chickens, all there for you to simply order through grubhub.
The best matzoh ball soup in town. I ordered takeout delivery for Passover since I couldn't go shopping due to the stay home order, and everything was delicious. The owner and staff are so helpful, professional and really appreciate their customers.
I was home sick with the flu and a friend brought me the Matzo Ball Soup and a side of bread... AMAZING! I had never experienced Fromin's but after this first delightful encounter I will be back! Hands down best soup and I can guarantee it made me feel better too :)
Great, old fashioned comfort food. I loved the complimentary Dill pickles! The salmon dinner was delicious. The Navy bean soup was excellent and the matzo ball soup is almost a meal in itself - welllll, almost, but it is very satisfying. The servers were kind, knowledgeable and attentive. This year they're celebrating 50 years of serving great meals - with good reason. Don't miss this LA icon.
